A contemporary signet takes shape: Bulgaria’s deep gold heritage, natural materials, and contemporary craftsmanship, transformed into a modern design object of lasting value - Símeon is a made-to-order unisex signet ring shaped by local expertise, traceable materials, and quiet cultural resonance. The maker behind Símeon is Iva Vasileva, a Bulgarian remigrant, mother, and jewelry designer.
Design
Símeon is a contemporary signet ring for those who value clarity, identity, and origin. Defined by a minimal geometric silhouette, it features a clean flat top, precise lines, and a gently tapered band for balance and comfort. Stripped of excess, it lets material, proportion, and presence define the piece.

From river and mountain to finished ring, each step is guided by human knowledge. Símeon takes shape through the work of three distinct roles: the finder of gold, the reader of stone, and the maker who brings both into form. Gold
The gold used for Símeon is sourced from Bulgarian riverbeds by small-scale gold finders, with each batch traceable to its exact region of origin. Every selection comes with certification confirming its authenticity, sustainability, and carat content. The river gold is then refined and blended with other precious metals to create an alloy tailored to the desired tone and karat, resulting in a material that is both precise and personal.

Gemstones
When a gemstone is selected, it is precisely set into the ring from a curated palette of Bulgarian minerals — jasper in multiple tones, amethyst, and agate. Drawn from diverse mountain regions across Bulgaria, each stone is unique in colour and formation, giving every Símeon ring its own character.

Certificate
Each Símeon ring is issued with a Certificate of Authenticity and Origin, recording the gold’s carat, its Bulgarian source, and the region from which it was recovered. If a gemstone is selected, its mineral type and place of origin are included as well. A maker’s certificate from Iva Vasileva marks the exact region on the map, creating a discreet yet precise record of each ring’s material journey.

Schedule an online or in-person Atelier appointment with Iva to discuss your request. Moodboards or visual references are welcome, as they help bring your vision to life. Iva will guide you through the key design elements, materials, and budget to establish a clear creative direction. The first consultation is free of charge.3.Receive a personalised price quote
Based on the information gathered during your first appointment, you will receive a personalised price quote by email - an estimated range for your individual order. The quote reflects current market prices for gold and gemstones, as well as the complexity of the design.It is valid for one week and may need to be adjusted if the order is confirmed at a later date. To confirm your order, a 50% deposit of the highest quoted amount is required. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.4.Select a Gemstone
Based on the discussed order requirements, Iva will source a selection of stones for you to choose from, either via video close-ups or during an in-person Atelier appointment. Please note, Inna does not work with customer-sourced gemstones unless they are heirloom gemstones.5.Confirm the jewel's shape (production stage 1)
Iva creates each piece entirely by hand, using traditional artisan techniques practised by master craftsmen throughout history. Every design bears the subtle traces of the human touch, with no two ever exactly alike. Due to the sculptural nature of her work, Iva does not provide detailed 3D drawings, instead asking her bespoke clients to place their trust in her artistic expertise.Most of the organic designs are first carved in special jewellery wax as unique prototype sculptures, which are then cast in metal. Architectural designs are constructed directly in metal, with each component carefully pulled, bent, and soldered together by hand.
For wax-based designs, shape confirmation - either via video close-ups or during an in-person Atelier appointment - is an essential step before the piece moves into metal production. This ensures you are fully involved in the creation process and can request adjustments before the final piece is completedAt this stage, the remaining balance of the order is calculated based on the jewel’s final weight and the time required for the initial production stage. This balance is due once the piece moves into production stage 2, prior to collection or shipment.5.Finishing touches and delivery (production stage 2)
During this final stage, the jewel is cast or constructed in metal and fully finished - stones are set, and the surface is completed with your choice of polished or matte finish. A personalised engraving can be added as the final touch, completing the jewellery’s journey. All bespoke pieces are shipped via UPS Express Saver, with costs calculated individually according to destination and jewellery value. Alternatively, you may collect your order in person at the Atelier by booking an appointment online. We are responsible for sending you the ring size you ordered, but we cannot be held responsible for defining your ring size. Please measure carefully, as the final size remains your responsibility. Try to provide us with the correct ring size when placing your order as Símeon is not resizable.The most accurate way to measure your finger is with a professional jeweller using the proper tools. Alternative methods, such as print-at-home guides or plastic ring gauges, can be convenient but may not provide precise measurements.Tips for Measuring Your Ring Size
Finger size can change during the day and with temperature - fingers are usually largest at the end of the day. We recommend measuring at an average temperature for the most accurate size.Wider bands feel tighter than narrower bands. For particularly wide bands, consider choosing a full size larger than your usual ring size.When measuring, look for resistance at the knuckle while still allowing some movement on the finger to accommodate natural size changes when your hands are warmer.
